Time Flies

Time flies during the school year, and I have to prioritize my compooper time, and I choose Facebook. But some specific family members have requested blog updates (you know who you are) and so now that I am on summer vaycay, I will attempt to synthesize the last six months below. But here, look how cute they are! Frankie is showing the love.

Elton John, Move Over!!!!

We Went to NY

Me and Everett went on a Buddy Trip to NYC! It was awesome. EC was so into the subways, and when we got home, mostly what he told people about our trip was which trains we went on. And which ones were running express. And which trains we THOUGHT were running express, but actually weren't. And about the guy who told us it wasn't actually running express. We did a lot of other stuffs, but according to Everett, we took the train.

Possibly thinking: Fight Club?

We went to Astoria to see our friend Crystal.

We went to my old school and Everett did something VERY SPECIAL called "Rhythms."

We visited the Movermans and Amir let EC use ALL the colors of playdough. Now he is spoiled.
We went to Jersey and experienced suburban bliss.

Also, in Jersey, we went to the Mall, and went on the Old Navy train and merrygoround with our friends Caitlin and Jack.

And we walked around on the Highline, which was radical, for real.

Everett is an Artistic Genius

Sometimes EC commandeers the camera and does some art shots. Here are some. The last one was taken after one of my RARE nights out, but I feel a little dirty knowing that my three year old son took that one. Also I look old. Whatever.

My Mom Came to VIsit

It was Grandparents and Special Friends Day at Everett's school, and so my mom came to be his Grandparent/ Special Friend. (Nana and Papa, clear your schedules for next April: It's your turn!) He loved it. And we got to have ice cream after.

Also, we Skyped with Julia, who is in Scotland, becoming more educated.

Freezy Times

I would like to emphasize for you that it is NOT WARM at the East Coast beaches in December. But, as we are a Family Who Enjoys the Beach, we spent a decent amount of time there this Christmas. "Golden Hour" shots courtesy of Arnie.

Family Flying Times

We had some pretty rough times at the airport. Let's just say it's a lot of gear. And then, we circled the SF airport for two hours before we were rerouted to San Jose, and then Everett threw up, which was awesome. Here's what he had to say about that:
"I'm very TIRED! And very SICK! And this is making my FEELINGS HURT! This is the WRONG AIRPORT! Can we look for an airport that's just right for us? Can I have a popsicle?"

Here Comes Trouble

This is Everett with "Beak," his paternal grandfather. Note his vintage pink "Here Comes Trouble" sweatshirt. Truer words were never worn.

Snowy Doings

We went to visit with my relatives in Rhode Island and we got a full snow experience! Everett called it "The Snowy Place," and complained bitterly when the rains came that we were no longer in TSP.

Happy Hollerdaze From the Hale-Beckers!

At my school every year they do this massive all-school family portrait blow out. You have like five minutes with a photographer. The last two years ours turned out pretty bad. These, we like! Even if one of us looks a little crazy in each one of them

Longtimeago with Granny

Way back in September, we visited Granny in Seattle. We went to my friend's wedding, which was fun, and during which Everett incessantly asked, "When are we gonna have cake?"

P.S: how hot does my mom look? Her sveltetude made me feel fat.

We also went back to the zoo, and visited all our fave animals.

Everett was slightly p.o.'d that some girls were up on his tractor. So he stared them off.

The had his fun tractor times with Granny.

In the end, dude was cashed out.
